Klondike Derby
The 2012 Klondike Derby will be held on Saturday, January 28th at Camp Seton with camping happening both Friday and Saturday evening. This winter competition will include outdoor activity stations, dogsled racing and winter camping.

Where: Seton Scout Reservation, 363 Riversville Road, Greenwich
Who: All Boy Scouts
What: A Winter Camping and Outdoor Skills competition. Each competing patrol/crew needs a Klondike sled that uses Scout power to pull it instead of dogs. Patrols/teams will load the sleds with their personal and patrol equipment and pull them through the course.
Competition Stations will be named after famous Klondike Gold Rush towns. Patrols will receive coins for their score at each station.
Cost: $10.00/Scout; $3.00/Extra Patch

7:00-9:00 p.m. normal camp check-in with Campmaster if staying Friday night
Saturday
7:30-9:30 a.m. Check-in and sled inspection (A building)
9:30 a.m. Opening Ceremony
10:00 a.m. Events start
12:00 - 1:00 p.m. Lunch stations (patrol will stop at current station and make hot lunch with enough extra food to serve the mayor of the Yukon town they are visiting)
1:00 - 4:00 p.m. Afternoon competition
4:00 p.m. Closing Ceremony
