Good Turn Opportunity - 11/26 Turkey Trot 5K

Volunteers are needed to help the Greenwich Alliance at the 5K "Turkey Trot" (with 1-mile walk/Fun Run) the Saturday after Thanksgiving, 11/26, in Bruce Park. They  are looking for up to 30 student volunteers, 15 for each of two shifts - 8th-graders and up.

Date: Saturday, November 26th (the Saturday after Thanksgiving)
Time: Shift 1: 7:30 - 9:30 a.m. -- Shift 2: 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.
Place: Arch Street Teen Center and Bruce Park

Volunteers will be asked to help set-up, register runners, stand along race route in Bruce Park to guide runners, organize kids at Fun Run, clean-up, etc. No special skills needed. All volunteers can receive community service letters and some "goodies" (water and snacks at race, special race T-shirt, etc.).
 
PLEASE NOTE MOST VOLUNTEERING WILL BE DONE OUTDOORS. RACE IS ON RAIN OR SHINE. PLEASE DRESS FOR COMFORT AND WARMTH!!
