In a Cub Scout pack, Boy Scout troop, Varsity Scout team, Venturing crew, or Sea Scout ship—or in any position in the Black Wolf District or
the Greenwich Council—your participation is a service to your community and helps youth become better citizens.
Quality leadership is important in the development of youth as members of the Boy Scouts of America.
There are many unit positions that you can share your time and talents. Work with youth directly as a leader or assistant and deliver the promise of Scouting.
Or join a unit committee and help with advancement, programs, field trips, camping and hiking, or fundraising.
Or share your talents as a Boy Scout merit badge counselor. Or be a career speaker for students finding their way in high school and beyond.
You can also serve in the Black Wolf District, which supports the local Greenwich Scouting programs.
You can deliver superior customer service and help units succeed as a Unit Commissioner or Roundtable Commissioners. You can help units with rechartering, chartered partner relationships, training, camping, and activities.
Or become a member of the District Committee to help start new Scouting units; assist with recruiting youth and adult members; raise funds, provide recruiting, advancement, training and camping opportunities, and much more.
You may be invited to serve on the Board of the Greenwich Council. The board is responsible for raising the revenues and controlling the
expenditures of council funds. The members also serve as ambassadors of Greenwich Scouting and implement all Scouting policies in the council.
