Scouting for Food 2010

Each year the Greenwich Council, Boy Scouts of America lends a hand to those in need as part of the Scouting for Food Drive. In partnership with Neighbor to Neighbor, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Explorers and Venturers collect food items from their neighbors for those in need in Greenwich. It is of note as well that all food collected goes strictly to help Greenwich families in need.

If your unit plans to participate in the food drive, please observe the following dates.

March 6 - Flyers or Bags Distributed
***In an attempt to be conservation-minded and reuse we suggest that this year instead of putting a "Scouting for Food" bag on every door you simply exchange it for a flyer explaning the program and encouraging people to use their own bags from the grocery store. If they're like most houses they probably have plenty to spare!
Tips: For door knobs, roll up the flyer so that it fits between the knob and the door jamb.
Food door handles, roll up the flyer and insert it into the handle.
(See sample flyer)
